The Mountain MOD 3 barrel is our offering for those shooters looking for the durability and heat resistance that nitrided 4150 CMV barrels provide, but are not interested in the extra weight or cost of our fluted offerings. While these barrels will not reject heat in the same way our fluted Mountain barrels well, they're still going to be excellent options for the budget minded shooter looking for a more general purpose barrel.
